BIOGRAPHY

Johnny Zirkel (John Russo-Zirkel) is an actor, host, and voice performer working across television, film, music media, and audio storytelling. He began his career with roles in The Groomsmen (2006), Purple Violets (2007), and later appeared in Young, Hot & Crooked (2014).
​
He is the creator, developer, and host of Sounds of the Underground (2019–2022), a four-season music television series that aired on CBS, Amazon Prime, and international platforms. The show spotlighted emerging artists and underrepresented genres while partnering with mental health organizations to create impact beyond entertainment.
Johnny has also built a presence in music-driven visual storytelling through projects under “Johnny Zirkel” and “The Wildfires Projekt,” blending narrative performance with emotionally focused music videos.

Most recently, he has expanded into voice acting with True Vault Escapades (2026), a Fallout-inspired audio drama.

He continues to develop as a versatile, multi-platform performer and creator.
